Privacy Policy
How ClearSales.ca collects, uses, protects, and discloses personal information — and the choices you have.
Effective August 14, 2026 · Last updated August 14, 2026
ClearSales.ca respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and through our training, coaching, and consulting programs, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can access, correct, or withdraw it. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), applicable provincial privacy legislation including British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act, and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
1. Who we are
ClearSales.ca Corporate Sales Solutions is a registered business name of ClearBenefits.ca Inc., a Canadian company with offices at 338 – 1641 Lonsdale Avenue, North Vancouver, British Columbia V7M 2J5. ClearBenefits.ca Inc. is the legal entity that collects, uses, and is accountable for the personal information described in this policy. In this policy, “ClearSales.ca,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean ClearBenefits.ca Inc. operating as ClearSales.ca Corporate Sales Solutions.
Dale Campbell acts as our Privacy Officer and is accountable for the personal information under our control. You can reach him at dale@clearsales.ca.
This policy applies to the ClearSales.ca website and to the training, coaching, consulting, membership, and enablement services delivered under the ClearSales.ca name. It does not apply to the other websites and brands we link to — including ClearBenefits.ca and the other brands in the ClearBenefits.ca ecosystem — each of which publishes its own privacy policy governing the information you provide there.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact and inquiry details. When you use a form on this site, book a call, request a guide or assessment, or email us, we collect the information you provide — typically your name, email address, phone number (including your mobile phone number, if you provide one), company or organization, role or organization type, approximate number of advisors, and whatever you write in the message field.
- Marketing preferences. Whether you checked the box asking to receive sales tips, course updates, and resources from us, whether you checked the separate box consenting to text messages (SMS), and the date and time you did so.
- Enrollment and program information. If you enroll in a course, certificate program, or membership, we collect the details needed to register you, deliver the material, track completion of assignments, and issue certificates.
- Corporate and enterprise engagements. When an employer, agency, MGA, insurer, or association engages us to train their people, that client may provide us with participant names, work email addresses, roles, and completion or scorecard results. We handle that information on the client’s behalf and use it only to deliver and report on the engagement.
- Payment information. Purchases are processed by Stripe. Your card number is entered on Stripe’s secure checkout and is never collected, seen, or stored by us. We receive a confirmation containing your name, email address, the item purchased, and the amount.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data. Like most websites, ours records information such as pages visited, time on page, referring website, approximate location derived from IP address, browser type, and device type.
- Cookies and similar technologies. See section 6 below.
- Email engagement. If you subscribe to our list, our email platform records whether messages were delivered, opened, and which links were clicked, so we can send fewer and more relevant messages.
ClearSales.ca does not ask for or store health information, medical claims, insurance policy details, government identification numbers, or financial account numbers on this site. If you follow a link to a benefits or insurance platform such as Convenient Care Plus, any information you enter there is collected by that provider under its own privacy policy, not ours.
3. Why we collect it
We collect and use personal information only for purposes a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances, namely to:
- respond to your inquiry, question, or strategy call request;
- send you the guide, assessment, checklist, or other resource you asked for;
- register you in a course, program, or membership and deliver the materials and assignments;
- issue certificates and confirm completion, including reporting completion to an employer or organization that sponsored your participation;
- process a purchase, provide receipts, and keep the accounting records the law requires;
- send commercial electronic messages such as sales tips, course updates, and resources, where you have consented or where CASL otherwise permits it;
- understand which pages and programs are useful so we can improve the site and our training;
- protect the site against spam, abuse, and fraud; and
- meet our legal, regulatory, and tax obligations.
If we ever want to use your information for a materially different purpose, we will ask for your consent first.
4. Consent and your choices
In most cases we rely on your express consent — you fill in a form, check a box, enroll, or email us. In some cases consent is implied by the circumstances, for example when you send us a business inquiry and we reply to it, or when an existing client contacts us about an active engagement.
You can withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal and contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide part or all of a service — for example, we cannot deliver a course to someone whose contact information we are not permitted to use. To withdraw consent, email dale@clearsales.ca.
Providing personal information to us is always your choice. You are not required to give us more than what a given request needs.
5. Commercial email, text messages, and CASL
We send commercial electronic messages — including email and text messages (SMS) — only to people who have consented to receive them, or where CASL otherwise permits the message. Every commercial message we send identifies us, includes our contact information, and contains a working unsubscribe link that we honour promptly — and in any event within 10 business days, as CASL requires.
Text messages (SMS)
If you give us a mobile number and tick the SMS consent box on one of our forms, we may send you text messages about courses, training, events and related resources. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Consent to receive text messages is optional. It is never a condition of buying a course, submitting a form, or receiving anything else from us.
You can stop texts at any time by replying STOP to any message from us; STOP requests are honoured automatically. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at dale@clearsales.ca or (877) 691-1162.
Email and text messages are managed separately. Unsubscribing from marketing email does not stop text messages, and replying STOP to texts does not unsubscribe you from email.
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers or SMS consent with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Unsubscribing from marketing email does not stop transactional messages related to a course, purchase, or engagement you are part of, such as receipts, schedules, and access instructions.
6. Cookies and analytics
This site uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies:
- Necessary cookies remember basic preferences, such as whether you have dismissed the announcement bar at the top of the page.
- Analytics cookies from Google Analytics 4 help us understand, in aggregate, how visitors find and use the site. We do not use Google Analytics to identify individual visitors by name.
- Third-party content that we embed — scheduling from Calendly, forms from ActiveCampaign, video from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player, and web fonts — may set its own cookies or record a request when that content loads.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can install Google’s browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the site work.
We do not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, because no common standard for them has been adopted.
7. Service providers and third parties
We use established service providers to run the site and our programs. They may access personal information only as needed to perform their service for us, and are required to protect it:
- Netlify — website hosting and processing of contact and certificate form submissions.
- ActiveCampaign — email list management and delivery of newsletters, guides, and course updates.
- Google Analytics — website usage measurement. Google Fonts serves the typefaces used on this site.
- Calendly — scheduling strategy calls and appointments.
- Stripe — payment processing for courses, programs, and memberships.
- Microsoft 365 — our business email and document storage.
Some pages link to other brands in the ClearBenefits.ca ecosystem and to independent partners such as Convenient Care Plus. Information you enter on another website is collected under that website’s own privacy policy, not this one, even where the site is operated by the same company.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share your contact information with other companies for their own marketing.
8. Information stored outside Canada
Several of the providers listed above store or process information on servers located outside Canada, primarily in the United States. While information is in another country it is subject to that country’s laws, and may be accessible to its courts, law enforcement, and national security authorities under those laws. By providing information to us, you acknowledge this transfer. If you have questions about our practices in this respect, contact our Privacy Officer.
9. When we disclose information
We disclose personal information only in these situations:
- to the service providers described above, for the purposes described above;
- to an employer, agency, MGA, insurer, or association that sponsored your participation in a program — limited to attendance, completion, assignment, and certification information related to that program;
- where you have consented or directed us to;
- to our professional advisors, such as accountants and lawyers, in confidence;
- where required or permitted by law, including in response to a valid court order, subpoena, warrant, or regulatory demand; and
- in connection with a sale, merger, or reorganization of the business, on the condition that the recipient uses the information only for the purposes for which it was collected.
10. How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or as long as the law requires. As a general guide: inquiry and prospect records are reviewed periodically and removed when no longer relevant; email subscribers remain on our list until they unsubscribe or ask to be removed; course and certification records are kept longer so we can confirm or reissue a certificate; and financial records supporting a purchase are kept for the period Canadian tax law requires, generally six years. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
11. How we protect it
We use safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections across this website, access controls and strong authentication on our email and business systems, established providers with their own security programs, and limiting access to the few people who need it to do their work. Payment card data never touches our systems.
No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive personal information such as government identification numbers, health details, or financial account numbers to us by email or through the forms on this site.
12. Your right to access and correct
You may ask us:
- whether we hold personal information about you, and to receive a copy of it;
- what we have used it for and to whom it has been disclosed;
- to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- to delete information we no longer have a legal or business reason to keep; and
- to stop sending you marketing messages.
Email dale@clearsales.ca with your request. We may need to confirm your identity before we act. We will respond within 30 days, or tell you within that period if we need an extension and why. Access is free in most cases; if a request would involve significant cost, we will tell you the estimated cost before proceeding so you can decide whether to continue. In limited circumstances the law permits or requires us to refuse access — for example where doing so would reveal personal information about someone else — and if that happens we will explain why in writing.
13. Children and young people
This is a business-to-business website intended for advisors, brokers, business owners, and sales professionals. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a young person has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
14. Links to other websites
This site links to other websites, including partner organizations, scheduling and payment platforms, and social media. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services, technology, or the law changes. The effective date at the top of this page shows when the current version took effect. If we make a significant change to how we use personal information, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, which may include a notice on this site or an email to subscribers. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
16. How to reach us or make a complaint
